Law School alumni are among the leaders in the political law field. Prominent alumni include, but are not limited to:

Bobby Burchfield: represented the Republican National Committee in the first major challenge to the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Law.

Michael Carvin: represented George W. Bush in Bush v. Gore.

Joshua Douglas: Associate Professor of Law at the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he teaches classes and focuses his research on election law: vote counting rules and disputes, judicial interaction with the election process, and procedural aspects of election law.

Rebecca Gordon: author of the leading treatise on federal lobbying rules, and represents the DNC, DSCC, and "Obama for America" as partner at Perkins Coie.

Ronald Jacobs: founder of political law department at Venable LLP.
