J.D. Application Checklist

Applicants may submit their applications for fall admission beginning October 1.

All applicants must:

  • have taken the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) within the past five years. Scores will be sent to the Law School directly from the Law School Data Assembly Service (LSDAS);
  • submit a completed J.D. program application form online at LSAC.org;
  • submit a personal statement with the application;
  • pay the $80 application fee online through LSAC using a credit card;
  • register with LSDAS. Registration packets may be obtained at LSAC.org or by calling 215.968.1001;
  • and, have transcripts sent to LSDAS by all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended.

Although they are not required, we encourage you to submit two letters of recommendation. The letters should be sent to LSDAS, which will forward them to the Law School.

Applications must be received by March 31 .

The White House is just four blocks from the Law School GW students regularly intern at White House offices, such as the Office of General Counsel. More
