Schedule a Tour
Tours are given Monday through Friday at noon. To schedule an appointment for a tour, email jdadmit@law.gwu.edu or call 202.994.7230. On the day of your visit, please plan to arrive at the Admissions Office at least 15 minutes before the scheduled tour begins. The Admissions Office is located at 700 20th Street, NW (lower level), Washington, D.C.
Self-Guided Law School Tours
In addition to scheduled tours, prospective students are welcome to take a self-guided tour at their leisure. Information concerning the self-guided tour may be picked up at the Information Desk in Stockton Hall, 720 20th Street, N.W., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or downloaded here.
J.D. Candidates:
Prospective J.D. candidates are invited to visit the Law School, Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Admission counselors are available on a walk-in basis to answer questions about the admission process.

The George Washington University Law School is located on the main campus of George Washington University, at the corner of H and 20th Streets, N.W. in Washington, D.C.
By Metro
The University is accessible by both Metrorail ("Metro," D.C.'s subway system) and Metrobus. The Law School is about 4 blocks from the Foggy Bottom/GWU and Farragut West Metro stations, both of which are on the Metro's Blue and Orange lines.
By Car
From North
Interstate 95 south to Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) toward Silver Spring/Northern Virginia. Take exit 33, heading south on Connecticut Avenue for about 9 miles. Turn right onto Florida Avenue (just past the Washington Hilton) and turn left immediately onto 21st Street. Turn right on I (Eye) Street. The visitor entrance to the parking garage is on the left between 22nd and 23rd Streets. The Law School is 2 1/2 blocks from the garage at 20th and H Streets.
From Northwest
Interstate 270 to Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) toward Silver Spring. Take exit 33, heading south on Connecticut Avenue for about 9 miles. Follow directions as given in From North.
From West
Interstate 66 and Route 50 both connect with the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. Cross the bridge and exit left at E Street, then again at Virginia Avenue. Bear left, following signs for 23rd Street. Turn right on 23rd Street and continue a few blocks to campus. Turn right on I Street. The visitor entrance to the parking garage is on the right between 22nd and 23rd Streets.
From South
Interstate 95 to Interstate 395 Arlington Memorial Bridge exit. Cross the bridge and bear left at the Lincoln Memorial. Turn left onto 23rd Street, NW, and follow directions as given in From West.
By Air or Rail
Visitors arriving at Reagan National Airport or Union Station (AMTRAK) may conveniently travel to the GW campus by either taxi or Metro. The Foggy Bottom/GWU and the Farragut West Metro subway stations, on the Blue and Orange lines, are both about four blocks from the Law School.
From Dulles International Airport (approximately 45 minutes from campus), visitors may take the Washington Flyer limousine to many downtown hotels.
Arrivals to Baltimore Washington International (BWI) Airport (approximately one hour from campus) may take the Super Shuttle or AMTRAK directly into Washington, D.C.
