International and Comparative Law Fellowship
The Fellow holds a two-year appointment, and responsibilities include:
- During the fall semester, teach a small section of legal research and writing to international students enrolled in the Law School's LL.M. program.
- On a limited basis, provide counseling to international LL.M. students about legal research and writing.
- Assist with administration of GW Law's summer programs with Oxford University and the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law, exchange programs with Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and Groningen University in the Netherlands, and under the North American Consortium of Legal Education (NACLE).
The Fellow is expected to spend the remainder of their time engaged in legal research and writing.
The Fellowship is ideal for a person who would like to spend a few years preparing their scholarship for entry into the legal academic job market. The Fellow would be an active part of a large and dynamic law faculty that has substantial expertise in international and comparative law.
The next Fellowship will be available for the 2013-2015 term. For more information, contact Associate Dean for International and Comparative Legal Studies Susan Karamanian at skaramanian@law.gwu.edu or at 202.994.1210.
