Sunita K. Sreedharan, LL.M. '06
After earning an LL.M. specializing in intellectual property law from GW in 2006, Sunita K. Sreedharan returned to her home country, India. She found that to best apply her newly earned knowledge and experience, she had to leave a partnership at a prestigious firm to build an innovative firm of her own. The rewards of her education and hard work are substantial: Sunita is CEO of SKS Law Associates in New Delhi, a four-member team with two of-counsels dedicated to finding solutions to IP matters beyond prosecution and litigation. She has a forthcoming book on intellectual asset management and is an international speaker on IP matters, among many other accomplishments.
Sunita says her positive experience at GW Law was shaped by interesting courses, exceptional instructors, and the Law School’s proximity to and connections with powerful institutions including the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. Chambers of Commerce. She adds that interacting with students and legal professionals from all over the world made for great opportunities to network. Her connections to the Law School continue today as Sunita keeps in touch with several professors and staff members.
