GW Law School Preferred Lenders

You may apply using one of the Law School’s preferred lenders, or select a loan provider of your own choosing. You have the right and ability to select the education loan provider of your choice, are not required to use a lender on this list, and will suffer no penalty for choosing a lender that is not identified on this site. The lenders listed here were chosen because of their competitive interest rates, repayment benefits for students, and quality of customer service.

Educational/Personal Loans

Sometimes you need to obtain loans that the Financial Aid Office cannot certify, due either to less-than-half-time enrollment, or a desire to borrow beyond the school's allowable cost of education. Such a loan comes with a higher pricetag than a typical private education loan, but the benefit lies in not having to have the request processed by the Law School.

While the Law School strongly urges you to live within the student budget and borrow only what you need, you may avail yourself of these loans as a last resort. The Law School Financial Aid Office cannot have any knowledge of, or participation in, your obtaining such a loan, or your eligibility for your other aid and loans will be compromised. (See below.)
