COMPUTING SERVICES: BURNSHELP

Help!

The Law Library's Electronic Services Department is the primary source of assistance for law students using the computing resources of the Law School, in general, and members of the Law School community using the Law Library, in particular.  If you are a law student or a library user and need computer assistance, take the following steps:

  • look for potential solutions in the chapters of the Guide to Student Computing @ GW Law ... or  ... the FAQ
  • if the problem persists, take a few minutes to collect the details of your situation, such as the system you’re using, your location including identification number of the computer or printer or network jack, and the circumstances that led to the problem
  • provide these details to an assistant at the Help Desk or send the details in an e-mail message to burnshelp@law.gwu.edu
  • The Help Desk is located in the Computer Information Center at Room B204 of Burns Hall. Full-time staff or student assistants are available at the Help Desk for most of the hours of library operation. The Help Desk should be your first option when looking for assistance beyond any available documentation.
