Overview

The CDO provides a wealth of services to help both U.S.- and Foreign-Trained LL.M. students and alumni make effective career choices by consistently maintaining the standards set forth in the CDO mission statement

A dedicated LL.M. and LL.M. Alumni Advisor is available to help you with all aspects of your job search.  The Advisor, along with the rest of the CDO team, provide the GW Law LL.M. community with a variety of services, including individual career counseling, mock interviews, online job postings via Symplicity, Noteworthy—the CDO bi-monthly e-newsletter, online job search links, a career resource library housed in the CDO, general and LL.M.-specific informational handouts, and general and LL.M.-specific programs and panels (including workshops on resume and cover letter drafting, networking, and interviewing skills).

Every year, the CDO publishes two Student Career Development Manuals especially for LL.M. students: one for U.S.-Trained LL.M. and one for Foreign-Trained LL.M. students.  The Manuals include detailed descriptions of the services offered by the CDO for the GW Law LL.M. community, as well as information on Everything You Need to Know to Launch the Legal Career of Your Dreams!
