Jack Kelly is an Associate at Covington & Burling LLP, where he focuses on patent litigation before the district courts and the International Trade Commission. Prior to joining Covington, Mr. Kelly was a law clerk to the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna, circuit judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Before clerking, he was an associate at Finnegan LLP, where he also focused his practice on patent litigation. During his legal career he has participated in advising clients on a wide variety of other intellectual property matters, including prosecution, licensing, due diligence, and mergers and acquisitions. He has also worked on matters and initiatives involving veterans’ benefits and government personnel actions. Mr. Kelly graduated with high honors and as a member of the Order of the Coif from GW Law, where he served as Executive Editor of The Federal Circuit Bar Journal. Before beginning his legal career, Mr. Kelly worked as design-automation engineer at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT.
