Mr. Underhill is a partner at Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP, where he heads that firm’s intellectual property practice. Mr. Underhill is a trial lawyer who primarily handles patent and trade secret cases. He has jury and bench trial experience, and regularly represents domestic and foreign companies in federal and state courts. He has substantial experience defending and asserting claims arising out of employees’ alleged misappropriation of their employers’ technology and other confidential information, including cases requiring coordination of simultaneous legal proceedings in multiple countries. He has worked in a variety of industries, including oil-drilling, electronics, medical devices, consumer products, telecommunications, and e-commerce. He has been a member of the George Washington University Law School adjunct faculty since 2007.
