Biographical Sketch
Dean Molinengo joined the staff of the Law School in 2009 after having completed a distinguished 28-year career as an attorney, strategic planner, and legal management expert with the U.S. Navy as both a naval officer and civilian. He was the managing partner for the 750 attorney Judge Advocate General’s Corps.

He served at sea with Commander, Amphibious Group TWO, worked overseas as the Commanding Officer for Naval Legal Activities on Guam, and in the Washington, D.C., area as counsel for the Chief of Naval Personnel, where he was a designated ethics counselor. He also served as the director of personnel in the Office of the Judge Advocate General.

At the time of his retirement at the rank of rear admiral, he was the assistant judge advocate general of the Navy for operations and management where he supervised operations at Naval Justice School and executed recruiting, retention, work-life balance, and other initiatives for the Navy JAG Corps. He later performed similar duties for the Navy's Office of the General Counsel. An active member of the Washington, D.C. Bar Association, he is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C., the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
