Biographical Sketch
David Benowitz is a founding partner of Price Benowitz LLP, a twenty-two-attorney firm, where he has successfully represented clients in all phases of personal injury, litigation, and as a state and federal criminal defense attorney. He has extensive experience representing clients in high-profile matters, including first-degree murder, narcotics distribution, conspiracy, embezzlement, and bank fraud.
Mr. Benowitz has sixteen years of experience as a criminal defense attorney. He was a Staff Attorney at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia (PDS) from 1995-2001, where he represented clients in the litigation of serious juvenile and adult criminal matters including first degree murder, first degree sexual abuse, and armed robbery.
Mr. Benowitz obtained an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy in 2006 from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and has been Board Certified as a Criminal Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He graduated from George Washington Law School in 1995 where he participated in the D.C. Law Students in Court Program and was a member of the George Washington Law Review, the Moot Court Board, and was a recipient of the Public Interest Award. David graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991 with honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honors American History.
