Biographical Sketch
Leslie Machado is a partner at LeClair Ryan where he advises, counsels, and litigates in a variety of substantive areas, including employment, media/telecommunications, insurance coverage, complex/commercial litigation. In addition to serving as the co-chair of LeClair Ryan’s media, Internet and e-commerce team, Mr. Machado is a member of the firm’s appellate team and has participated in over 30 appeals in federal and state courts around the country.
Mr. Machado is a graduate of Fordham University and the University at Buffalo School of Law. He currently serves as the chair of the University at Buffalo DC Leadership Council. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the News Literacy Project - a 501(c)(3) dedicated to informing high school students about journalism and the media.
Mr. Machado has authored numerous articles on a variety of topics, including the Communications Decency Act of 1996, Title VII, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act and the Computer Fraud & Abuse Act. This is his second year teaching Legal Research & Writing at The George Washington University Law School.
