Biographical Sketch
Mark Harvey served on active duty in the Army from 1976 to 2005, and retired as a colonel. Through most of his military career, he focused on military criminal law. He has been a military defense counsel, prosecutor, appellate counsel, and military justice supervisor. His last five years on active duty were as an appellate judge on the Army Court of Criminal Appeals (ACCA). The ACCA decides courts-martial appeals with felony-level sentences. From 2005-2006, he was the Clerk for Military Commissions. From 2006 to present, he has been an administrative judge deciding security clearance and TRICARE medical benefits cases. He has a part-time job as Clerk, U.S. Court of Military Commission Review. In May 2013, he will be teaching Government Lawyering, 6671-36.
