Ms. Vuono clerked in the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia before serving on active duty as an Army Judge Advocate and an Assistant to the Army General Counsel in the Pentagon. As a military prosecutor, she tried felony cases of assault, drug distribution, and rape. She also managed a legal assistance office of military and civilian lawyers, responsible for providing legal services to eligible soldiers and family members on issues involving landlord/tenant law, family law, contracts, estate and property law, and administrative matters. She was the senior staff attorney for the Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces before launching her current freelance practice, where she provides advisory opinions, and trial and appellate briefs to small firms and solo practitioners. Ms. Vuono joined Custom Counsel, LLC as the D.C. Director of operations in 2012. In addition to her work at George Washington University Law School, she teaches Advanced Legal Research & Writing to international LLM students at the Columbus School of Law, the Catholic University of America.
