Molly Stech is currently Counsel in the Office of Policy and International Affairs at the U.S. Copyright Office. She began her career in the fine arts sector, doing auction house and museum work, and subsequently focused on copyright in law school, where she was the inaugural recipient of the Washington State Bar Association Intellectual Property Scholarship. The intersection of comparative art and copyright law remains an area of specialty for her. Professor Stech has consulted for the World Intellectual Property Organization, the British Academy and the International Foundation for Art Research. She has published several law review articles on international copyright issues, most frequently with the Institute of Art and Law. Professor Stech is admitted to practice law in the States of Washington and New York.
