Mark Traphagen is the founder of Traphagen Law PLLC, where he represents clients in trademark, copyright, and Internet matters, and the U.S. contributing author to the treatise Copyright Throughout the World. Professor Traphagen has served as counsel in landmark intellectual property projects, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, the WIPO Copyright Treaty, and WTO dispute settlement proceedings involving the TRIPS Agreement. He has held positions in law firms, trade associations, and the U.S. Government, and conducted training for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Global intellectual Property Academy and the World Intellectual Property Organization. Professor Traphagen comes to GW Law after teaching international intellectual property law at other leading law schools since 2007.
