Annelies Winborne is Assistant General Counsel at the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR). She advises U.S. government agencies on trade policy, and represents the United States in disputes at the World Trade Organization (WTO) and in negotiations of international trade agreements. Prior to joining USTR, Professor Winborne worked as a Legal Officer in the Appellate Body Secretariat at the WTO. She also worked at a major Washington, DC law firm advising on export controls and economic sanctions issues, as well as other international trade law topics. Ms. Winborne coaches GW Law's moot court team competing in the Gujarat National Law University International Moot Court Competition, a WTO law competition held in Gujarat, India.
