Biographical Sketch
Nancy Perry is vice president, government affairs, at the Humane Society of the United States. Ms. Perry oversees federal and state legislative campaigns, litigation, regulatory affairs, and grassroots activities. Previously, as the grassroots coordinator, she spearheaded state animal protection ballot initiatives and coordinated litigation strategies. She is a board member of the National Center for Animal Law and co-founded Lewis & Clark's Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. Ms. Perry has published several articles on animal law, including the 2000 article on the illegal international trade of bear parts co-authored with Adam Roberts, senior research associate, Animal Welfare Institute.
