J. Zoë Beckerman is a partner in the Washington, DC law firm of Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP and is managing principal of the firm's consulting arm, FT Solutions LLC. Her legal practice is in the areas of government grants, corporate and business law, and health care law, with a special emphasis on federally funded programs such as Head Start. She leads trainings and counsels organizations across the country on regulatory compliance issues and the strings that attach to their grants.
Professor Beckerman’s prior work includes women’s health policy analysis at the Kaiser Family Foundation and a Presidential Management Internship doing policy/grants administration at the National Institutes of Health as well as on Capitol Hill working for the Senate HELP Subcommittee on Public Health and Safety.
Professor Beckerman served as a member of the George Washington University’s Board of Trustees from 2006 to 2010 and currently chairs GW’s School of Public Health and Health Services Dean’s Advisory Council.
