Zol Rainey currently works as the Deputy Chief of the Executive Communications Unit for the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Prior to his current position, Professor Rainey worked for the District of Columbia's Office of the Attorney General as an assistant chief in the Criminal Section of the Public Safety Division, where he litigated cases in the Civil Enforcement and Juvenile Sections. Professor Rainey has ten years of law enforcement experience working as a narcotics detective for the Virginia Beach, VA Police Department and a detective for the Deerfield, IL Police Department. He also served for five years as a naval officer for the Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps.
