Timothy H. Goodman teaches in the Legal Research and Writing Program. He is the Assistant Chief Counsel for Litigation and Enforcement at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). He is a member of the federal Senior Executive Service. Mr. Goodman leads and directs all agency legal work in litigation and civil enforcement matters, and provides senior level leadership and advice on a wide variety of complex legal and policy matters.
Prior to joining DOT, Mr. Goodman was in the private practice of law, where he focused on trial and appellate advocacy in a wide range of high-value litigation matters. He began his federal service as an officer in the U.S. Navy aboard an Aegis guided missile cruiser.
