Biographical Sketch
Cary Silverman is an attorney in the Public Policy Group of Shook, Hardy & Bacon L.L.P. His practice focuses on product liability, tort and consumer law, and civil justice reform. Professor Silverman regularly authors amicus briefs on behalf of national business, trade, and other advocacy groups in cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and state high courts. He testifies before state legislatures around the country on a wide range of issues and assists clients with complex legislative, litigation, and regulatory matters. Professor Silverman has published over twenty articles in prominent law journals. He coordinates pro bono work in his firm’s D.C. office and has represented a Guantanamo detainee among other pro bono clients.
