Leslie Brown is Counsel with the law firm Schaner & Lubitz, PLLC where she counsels public charities, private foundations, philanthropies, and trade associations, particularly in the area of venture philanthropy.
Prior to joining Schaner & Lubitz, Professor Brown was Counsel with the law firm Rees Broome, PC where she represented community associations. Professor Brown clerked for the Honorable Lynn J. Bush of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. She also worked for three years at the law firm Shaw Pittman LLP practicing a mix of insurance coverage and corporate law.
Professor Brown is an alumna of The George Washington University Law School where she graduated with honors and served as a Legal Research and Writing Dean's Fellow and Managing Editor of The Environmental Lawyer Journal. Professor Brown has been a Professorial Lecturer in Law for the Outside Placement Program since 2012.
