CCH Health, Human Resources, and Labor*
Provides online access to primary and secondary material, including Aspen treatises.  The content is broken down into tabs/libraries in the areas of Human Resources Management, Payroll, Benefits, Pension, Labor and Employment Law, Safety/OSHA, Health Care Reimbursement, Health Care Compliance, and Food and Drug.  Each publication is organized into expandable/collapsible menus, similar to the CCH hardcopy version.  Information can be found by browsing through menu topics, retrieving a citation, or through keyword/phrase search functions.  Additionally, the Tracker News function allows the researcher to follow topics of interest in the news by providing daily updates with the ability to create personalized searches.

CCH Patent Law Library*
This library includes current awareness materials, primary source material commonly used by patent practitioners, and patent forms, as well as, 3 modules: Patent Prosecution, Patent Litigation, and Patent Licensing and Transactions.  These 3 modules include 13 treatise titles from Aspen Publishers plus more.  The Patent Law Library also includes access to KluwerManualIP.com - a fully searchable online version of the The Kluwer Manual IP providing information on registering patents, trademarks, and designs in 200 countries around the world.

CCH Tax*

ChinaLawInfo*
Chinese language database from the Legal Information Center of the Peking University.  This is the sister database to LawInfoChina, an English language database from the same publisher.  ChinaLawInfo includes Chinese statutes and regulations plus secondary legal information such as judicial explanations, research articles of legal studies, book reviews, links to online Chinese legal journals, a directory of Chinese law scholars, and information about law making and law enforcement.

Constitutions of the Countries of the World
Online access to 187 country constitutions. Expert commentary from leading world scholars and English translations enhance the value of this database. Additionally, researchers have the capability to search for topics across nations.

Current Index to Legal Periodicals*
CILP provides timely topical access to over 500 legal publications by indexing their contents 4-6 weeks before commercial legal periodical indexes (Index to Legal Periodicals, LegalTrac) do the same. It contains complete tables of contents of all journals indexed and the articles are separately organized by 100 relevant subject headings. Access is restricted to the Law School computer network.

EcoAmericas*
EcoAmericas is a monthly report of articles on development and the environment in Latin America. Articles are available in English and Spanish and include detailed contact and resource information. A searchable archive covers November 1998 to date.

ELR: The Environmental Law Reporter
Provides analysis and reporting on every aspect of environmental law. Includes current news, articles, cases, administrative documents, environmental statutes, international treaties, and federal and state regulations.

Foreign Law Guide*
This website, based on the original six-volume print reference source Foreign Law: Current Sources of Codes and Basic Legislation in Jurisdictions of the World, provides information about the legal systems of over 150 jurisdictions. Each jurisdiction includes an introductory essay regarding its historical legal developments along with references to the major codes, national gazettes and collections of laws and jurisprudence issued within the country. There is also a subject compilation of references to laws for each jurisdiction which include references to sources that provide English translations where available. If a particular source is available via the Internet, a link to the resource is included.

Global Legal Information Network (GLIN)
GLIN is a public database of official texts of laws, regulations, judicial decisions, and other complementary legal sources contributed by governmental agencies and international organizations. Maintained by the Library of Congress, this database includes primary legal materials for over 30 jurisdictions throughout the world. The legal texts are published in their original language in PDF format. Each document is accompanied by a short summary of the law in English. Subject terms are also assigned to each record in order to assist the searcher with locating additional relevant materials on a given topic.

GRUR Plus*
GRUR Plus is a module of Beck Online.  It is a browsable/searchable archive for 4 IP journals: IIC [available in English], Gewerblicher Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht, International Teil, Gewerblicher Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht,Gewerblicher Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht.  With the exception of Gewerblicher Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht, these journals are indexed in the Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals.

HeinOnline
Retrospective coverage of law journals, Federal Register Library (vol. 1, 1936-vol. 51, 1986), U.S. Supreme Court Library (U.S. Reports, preliminary reports and slip opinions), opinions of the U.S. Attorney General and the Office of Legal Counsel of the DOJ, and a Treaties and Agreements Library.  This database subscription recently added access to other law related collections, including The American Law Institute Library, English Reports: Full Reprint (1220-1865), Foreign and International Law Resources Database, Legal Classics, Session Laws, U.S. Congressional Documents, and U.S. Federal Legislative History Library.  HeinOnline is continually enhanced to include more recent volumes and more journal titles.

Online equivalent to Index to Legal Periodicals print annuals from 1981 - current. The coverage for this resource includes indexing from 1981 +, abstracting from 1990 +, and select full text from 1994 +. With the new full text version of this online product the researcher can now retrieve the full text of over 200 select periodicals going as far back as 1994.

Index to Legal Periodicals Retrospective*
Online equivalent to Index to Legal Periodicals print annuals from 1908-1981.  Complete index of over 750 publications [540,000 + indexed items] that allows the researcher to search the content of more than 60 years' worth of law with one online search form. The index includes law journals, annual surveys of the laws of a jurisdiction, annual surveys of the federal courts, yearbooks, and annual reviews of the work in a given field or topic. Additionally, the researcher can click for the citation to the full text in other databases to which the library subscribes, including HeinOnline.

InterAm Database
InterAm is an online database containing commercial, trade, investment legislation and other legal materials from 25 countries in the Americas developed by the National Law Center for Inter-American Free Trade. The site also includes access to Mexico's Diario Oficial de la Federacion from 1994 as well as other trade-related materials.

International Law Reports [Justis.com]
International Law Reports, searchable via the Justis platform, is the only source which provides a comprehensive  collection of decisions of international courts and arbitrators as well as the judgments of national courts (in English translation) on important international law issues. The keyword-searchable database covers all significant cases of public international law for the time period 1919 to the present and is an indispensable resource for the international law researcher.

Journal of Forensic Sciences
"The official publication of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, edited and produced by ASTM. Includes papers on original investigations, observations, scholarly inquiries, and reviews. Its scope encompasses forensic toxicology, pathology, psychiatry, immunology, jurisprudence, criminalistics, odontology, physical anthropology, and questioned documents and engineering. Also contains papers dealing with forensic-oriented aspects of the social sciences. All papers are peer reviewed."

Journal of World Trade
The World Trade Review was established at the initiative of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in close cooperation with Cambridge University press. Includes articles written from economic, legal, political, and inter-disciplinary perspectives on issues of relevance to the multilateral trading system.

JSTOR [Gelman Library]*
This is a Gelman Library subscription. JSTOR is a not for profit organization whose goal is to maintain continued access to scholarly journals across a broad range of disciplines. JSTOR offers high-resolution scanned images of journal issues and pages. This is not a current issue database and there is a 1-5 year gap between the most recent issue and coverage in JSTOR.

KluwerArbitration.com*
Arbitration database published by Kluwer Law International in conjunction with the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA), the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), and the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA).  KluwerArbitration.com is a fully searchable database allowing for targeted searches through its country index.  Coverage includes full text access to primary and secondary materials including legislation, case law, institutional rules, treatises, and commentary from authoritative sources such as ICCA publications and the ASA Bulletin.  Access to this database is available through the library's CCH subscription on the Intelliconnect platform; select Practice Tools then International Business.

LawInfoChina*
English language database from the Legal Information Center of the Peking University.  This is the sister database to ChinaLawInfo.  LawInfoChina provides access to selected regulations from the People's Republic of China, basic laws adopted by the National People's Congress from 1949 onward, administrative regulations, rules, and orders, and local regulations and rules impacting foreign-related activities, technology investment incentives, and municipal economic development.  This database provides access to over 2,000 documents in 60 legal subject areas.  Most translations are performed by individuals at the Institution of Legal Translation Studies of the Peking University.

An index to articles in law reviews, law journals and legal newspapers (1980 - Present). Includes U.S., British Commonwealth and E.U. law-related topics.

LexisNexis Congressional
The Law Library has access to LexisNexis Congressional's basic subscription, which includes abstracts and indexing for congressional publications, legislative histories, member biographies, committee assignments, voting records, and financial data; it also includes full text of key regulatory and statutory resources.  In addition to the basic subscription, the Law Library also has full text access to one additional collection:  the U.S. Serial Set Digital Collection.

LLMC Digital
The world's largest digital collection of legal literature and federal executive, legislative, and judicial branch documents in microform format. Provides full text access to a vast collection of law and law-related literature courtesy of the Law Library Microform Consortium, a non-profit library cooperative that has filmed more than 7,500 titles and over 900,00 volumes. The first titles mounted on the website are U.S. Federal documents. It is anticipated that constitutional, legal, and law-related materials from commonwealth and civil law countries will begin to appear in 2004. The collection includes statutes, treatise case law, administrative decisions and reports of government agencies, boards, and departments. The current emphasis is mainly on historical documents (1790-2000).

Making of Modern Law Digital Archive [Legal Treatises 1800-1926]
Digital collection of Anglo-American legal treatises making nearly 10 million pages of 19th and 20th century legal history available online.  This collection allows for full text searching of more than 21,000 works covering 99 subject areas.

Making of Modern Law Digital Archive [Trials, 1600-1926]
Digital collection of more than 2 million pages documenting trials from around the world.  Although the collection includes trial texts from around the world, the majority are English-language texts published in the United States or Great Britain.  The collection allows for full text searching of more than 10,000 works covering a wide range of legal topics and allowing for the historical examination of social issues such as gender, sex, class, and celebrity for a given era.

Max Planck Encyclopedia of Public International Law Online
A fully revised online Encyclopedia written by over 650 scholars and practitioners from around the world and edited by a team from the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law. This online resource includes more than 700 new topics, not covered in the previous print edition, and will be updated quarterly. In addition to extensive search functionality and click-through cross-references to other Encyclopedia entries, users will have access to the Oxford Law Citator. The Citator offers easy access linking to related content available in all new Oxford online legal services.

New York Times Historical  [Gelman Library]*
Gelman Library subscription. This database offers full-text and full-image articles for the New York Times. The collection includes digital reproductions of every page from every issue within the coverage period -- cover to cover -- in downloadable PDF files.  The coverage period is stated on the database search page.

Oxford Reports on International Law
The Oxford Reports on International Law (ORIL) database brings together decisions on public international law from international courts and tribunals, as well as domestic courts and ad hoc tribunals. The database presently contains five modules: Oxford Reports on International Law in Domestic Courts, Oxford Reports on International Criminal Law, Oxford Reports on International Human Rights Law, Oxford Reports on International Courts of General Jurisdiction, and the Oxford Reports on International Investment Claims. Each case included in the five modules contain headnotes, a summary of case facts and the judicial holdings/arbitral decision or award, the full text of the opinion of the Court/arbitral tribunal, analytical commentary from scholarly experts, a list of cases and instruments cited and, finally, accurate translations into English of key passages of non-English decisions. The database also features the Oxford Law Citator, which links the content of all Oxford Reports modules. Links from case reports and judgments lead to the Citator, which displays key details of a decision including: official and parallel citations; earlier or subsequent procedural stages; instruments and cases that are cited in, or have cited that decision; case reports and judgments in other modules of the Oxford Reports and entries for bibliographic references useful for further study.

Oxford Scholarship Online: Law [e-books]
Electronic versions of select texts published by Oxford University Press.  While abstracts are available for all subject areas, the library's subscription only includes full-text access to the Law collection.  The texts in the Law collection are primarily from the following series: Oxford studies in European law, Oxford monographs in international law, Oxford monographs in criminal law and justice, Clarendon studies in criminology, Oxford monographs in labour law, Oxford studies in modern legal history, Oxford studies in international economic law, and the International courts and tribunals series.

Pike and Fischer: Internet Law and Regulation
Daily coverage of legal developments affecting e-business including full text of decisions and pleadings in major Internet-related cases around the world, as well as the text of major laws and policies affecting the Internet.

RIA Checkpoint Tax and Accounting
This research service is a web-based library of RIA and WG&L tax and accounting products.  Checkpoint provides online access to the Federal Analytical Reporter Library including the U.S. Tax Reporter and Federal Tax Coordinator 2d, the Public Domain Library including federal tax case law, IRS rulings and the RIA Citator 2d, Journal of Taxation, Corporate Taxation journal, Practical Tax Strategies journal, state and local tax materials for all 50 states, a tax alerts service, and Worldwide Tax Law including access to tax and commercial laws from around the world.

Treaties and International Agreements Online
TIARA provides access to the full text of over 13,000 treaties and international agreements. It includes all treaties and international agreements ratified by the U.S., major treaties in the process of ratification, and all tax treaties, even those to which the U.S. is not a party. Basic and advanced searching options provide numerous access points to the data. PDF versions of the official texts of many of U.S. treaties are included that have been taken from sources such as Senate Treaty Documents, Treaties and Other International Acts Series (TIAS) and United States Treaties and Other International Agreements (UST).

UK Statutes [Justis.com]
This database contains the full text of all Acts of Parliament in England, Wales, and Scotland as enacted from 1235 to the present day.  All Acts appear as enacted with links to amended and amending legislation.

United Nations Treaty Collection
The United Nations Treaty Collection is divided into three parts: The United Nations Treaty Series, Multilateral Treaties Deposited with the Secretary-General, and Texts of Recently Deposited Multilateral Treaties. The collection includes the text of every treaty and international agreement entered into by a member of the UN. The site also provides access to the League of Nations Treaty Series (LNTS) and other treaty-related materials issued by the United Nations.

U.S. Supreme Court Records & Briefs Digital Archive (1832-1978)
Digital collection of U.S. Supreme Court historical materials spanning a 140 year period.  The collection includes more than 240,000 documents from the years 1832-1978.  This collection of primary legal documents is the second installment of Thomson Gale's Making of Modern Law Digital Archives.  Transcripts are listed by case name and the date of oral argument.

Washington Post Historical [Gelman Library]*
Gelman Library subscription. This database offers full-text and full-image articles for the Washington Post. The collection includes digital reproductions of every page from every issue within the coverage period -- cover to cover -- in downloadable PDF files.  The coverage period is stated on the database search page.

This service connects you to the catalog of the Jacob Burns Law Library and other libraries all over the world.  It allows you to locate and borrow books, articles, and more from any library in the WorldCat database.

WorldTradeLaw.net - Dispute Settlement Commentary
A comprehensive website containing full-text of GATT/WTO instruments, Appellate Body Reports, and links to international trade news resources. GWU students, staff, and faculty have access to the Dispute Settlement Commentary (DSC) service. According to the site, it "is a comprehensive legal research tool for WTO dispute settlement. Features include summary/analysis of all reports/arbitrations; up-to-date keyword index; and a database of dispute settlement tables/statistics."
