Student Awards

• Christopher W. Meeks received the John Bell Larner Award for the highest cumulative average in the entire course for the Juris Doctor degree.
• Kevin S. Parton received the Anne Wells Branscomb Award for the highest cumulative average in the part-time evening division.
• Jaclyn N. Lasaracina received the Michael Dillon Cooley Memorial Award, which is presented to a member of the graduating Juris Doctor class who shared most generously of his or her time, compassion, and vitality to aid the intellectual and spiritual growth of fellow students.

Faculty Awards

Professor Orin S. Kerr, received this year's Distinguished Faculty Service Award, which is voted each year by the graduating Juris Doctor class. Brett Sheats, J.D. '09, SBA president for the '08-'09 year, presented the award.

Professorial Lecturers in Law Michael St. Patrick Baxter, Jane Moretz Edmisten, and Thomas R. Mounteer were recognized with the 2009 Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Service Awards, presented by Dean Lawrence.

Staff Award

Director of Judicial Clerkships Sheila Driscoll received the Distinguished Staff Service Award, voted by the graduating class and presented by Brett Sheats, J.D. '09.
