Join the GW Law Student Animal Legal Defense Fund and guest speaker, Bruce Friedrich, Senior Director for Strategic Initiatives at Farm Sanctuary, in a discussion of farm animal welfare laws, the improvements that need to be made, and their impact on stustainable agriculture. This event will be followed by a catered vegetarian dinner, free to all guests attending.
Bruce Friedrich is the Senior Director for Strategic Initiatives at Farm Sanctuary, a non-profit organization that promotes laws and policies that support animal welfare, animal protection, and vegetarianism/veganism through rescue, education, and advocacy. Bruce leads Farm Sanctuary's legislation and litigation efforts, oversees the Compassionate Communities Campaign, and works to introduce the world to farmed animals through "The Someone Project." Bruce has also co-authored The Animal Activist's Handbook.
