Rosen Receives LWI's Golden Pen Award
Earlier this month at the American Association of Law Schools' Annual Meeting in New Orleans, the Legal Writing Institute presented Professor Jeffrey Rosen—a prolific writer who is also the Legal Affairs Editor at The New Republic—the Golden Pen Award for "extraordinary contribution to the cause of better legal writing." The GW Law community congratulates Professor Rosen on this wonderful award and accolade!
At the event, LWI also presented awards to: Arizona State University Professor Judy Stinson received the Blackwell Memorial Award which honors “a person who has made an outstanding contribution to improve the field of Legal Writing,” named for Thomas F. Blackwell, a prominent contributor to the field; Texas Tech Law School Dean Darby Dickerson was the first recipient of the Darby Dickerson Award for service to legal writing; and Oregon Law School Professor Emerita Mary Lawrence, a pioneer in the field, received a special Lifetime Achievement Award.
