Richard & Diana Cummins Legal History Research Grant Awarded to Professor Emily Kadens

George Washington University Law School is very excited to announce Professor Emily Kadens as the 2013 recipient of the Richard & Diana Cummins Legal History Research Grant.  The Cummins Grant provides a stipend to support short-term historical research using Special Collections at GW's Jacob Burns Law Library, which is noted for its continental historical legal collections.

Dr. Kadens, of Northwestern University School of Law, plans to use the French customary law works and commentaries, consilia, early judicial decisions, and other materials in Special Collections to research her proposed project, “Custom in the Courts.” She plans to be in residence at GW Law from late January until the end of March, 2013. Welcome and congratulations, Professor Kadens!
