"As someone who was unsure whether I wanted to practice law or use my law degree in another field such as public policy, the ability to do internships for credit has given me an insight into the legal profession."
J.D. candidate Alexandra Hollinger's passion for environmental law made choosing GW Law a "no-brainer", given its 20+ environmental law courses and strong internship placement programs. By the end of her second year, the Arizona native has already completed two internships within the U.S. Department of Justice and another with a non-profit environmental organization and has worked as research assistant for a GW environmental law professor. After completing her J.D., Alexandra plans to pursue private practice in Washington, D.C.-likely doing environmental transaction work rather than environmental litigation.
