Biographical Sketch
Mr. Oman is counsel for the intellectual property practice group of the firm Dechert, LLP. He has more than 28 years of international experience in patent, copyright, and trademark law. Before entering private practice, Mr. Oman served as Register of Copyrights of the United States for more than eight years and also as chief counsel of the Senate Subcommittee on Patents, Copyrights, and Trademarks. He is one of three founding directors of the U.S. Committee for the World Intellectual Property Organization.
