Specialized research support for the Environmental Law LLM Program is provided by Germaine Leahy, environmental law research librarian and head of the reference department. Since 1990, Ms. Leahy has taught a series of environmental law research classes to students in the Environmental Law LLM Program and provided research assistance to them on an individual basis. From 1993-96, she created and taught a two-day continuing legal education course on federal, state and international environmental law research. As head of the reference department, Ms. Leahy coordinates and oversees research conducted by the reference librarians for students and faculty. Prior to joining the Jacob Burns Law Library, she was a research librarian at the American Bankers Association Library and also for a D.C. law firm which specialized in natural resources law and Indian law.
