Amanda Burks is a Senior Trial Attorney with the Division of Enforcement at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), where she leads investigations and prosecutions involving violations of the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC Regulations. Ms. Burks is also a member of the Division of Enforcement’s Swaps Task Force. Throughout her career, Ms. Burks has worked alongside other divisions at the CFTC to draft and amend various CFTC Regulations.

Ms. Burks has served as an Adjunct Professor at the George Washington University Law School since 2016. She has taught Legal Research and Writing, Fundamentals of Lawyering, and Government Lawyering, and was also a Scholarly Writing Adjunct Professor for the Federal Circuit Bar Journal.
