He is a 2008 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served as notes editor on the Law Review. Mr. George joined Baker Botts after law school before leaving to clerk for the Honorable James. C. Cacheris of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, after which he rejoined the firm. As co-counsel with the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project and co-chair of its Young Professionals Committee, Mr. George for several years led an effort to exonerate a wrongfully convicted Virginia prisoner before that prisoner's unexpected extradition to Alabama to face capital murder charges on a 30-year-old cold case. Mr. George now represents that prisoner in Alabama.
