Commencement at the George Washington University Law School is more than just one event on a single day — you can take part in celebrations for a whole weekend. Events range from the Dean's Reception at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of African American History and Culture to the University Commencement and the GW Law Diploma ceremony on Sunday.
University Commencement takes place on the National Mall and is open to all graduates to come and celebrate their achievements. This event requires tickets and includes remarks from leadership and speakers, and highlights honorary degree recipients. GW Law also has an additional diploma ceremony to honor graduates.
