Elizabeth P. Bruns has been in the entertainment law field since 1999. In her current position as a business and legal affairs executive for PBS KIDS, Ms. Bruns manages all legal and business affairs for PBS KIDS linear and on-demand programming and digital interactive content, as well as advises PBS’s Children’s Media and Education department on legal and business issues. In a previous stint at PBS, Ms. Bruns worked in business affairs for PBS’s general audience and children’s television and digital programming. After her original position at PBS, Ms. Bruns was a member of the Motion Picture and Television group at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp (MSK) where she continued to represent PBS as well as other entertainment industry clients. After MSK, Ms. Bruns served as a Senior Legal Editor at Thomson Reuters Practical Law, where she created and maintained entertainment transactions legal resources for practicing attorneys. Prior to entering the entertainment law field, Ms. Bruns was an associate in the Corporate and Securities group at Hunton & Williams in Richmond, VA and Washington, DC, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings. She earned a JD at William & Mary Law School, where she was Managing Editor of the William and Mary Journal of Women and the Law and Co-Chair of the Public Service Fund. Ms. Bruns also holds an AB in Art History from Duke University.

Ms. Bruns taught Entertainment Law at American University’s Washington College of Law from 2013 to 2018.
