Joseph Berl

Joseph M. Berl is a 1967 graduate of GW Law and has practiced law in Washington D.C. since graduation. During his career he has clerked for the Honorable Frank H. Myers, Associate Judge of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals; been a trial attorney and branch chief at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission; and, a partner in several law firms. Since 2008 he has maintained an individual law practice and has been an adjunct member of the law school faculty.

Mr. Berl’s private practice has focused heavily on corporate and securities law. This includes public and private offerings of securities; mergers, acquisitions and purchases and sales of assets; the creation, restructuring and dissolution of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint ventures.
