Max Wolson is a Staff Attorney with the United States Sentencing Commission. Previously, he served as an Assistant Public Defender with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender where he handled a major felonies caseload. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Federal Public Defender in Iowa representing clients at both the trial and appellate levels. He clerked for the Honorable Gregory B. Wormuth, United States Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico. While at GW Law, he was a member of The George Washington International Law Review, a Dean's Fellow, and a member of the Moot Court Board.
