Melody Webb has focused her career on public interest work. After graduating from Harvard College and Harvard Law School, she clerked for a judge on the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Since then, Ms. Webb has served as Systemic Reform Attorney at the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless, as Legislative Counsel for U.S. Senator Robert Casey, as Associate General Counsel for Service Employees International Union, as Legal Director for the Employment Justice Center, and as Pro Bono Counsel for Neighborhood Legal Services Program of the District of Columbia. In addition, she has operated her own public interest law firm, representing indigent clients through the Counsel for Child Abuse and Neglect of the D.C. Superior Court, and serving on the D.C. Superior Court, Court Improvement Program Advisory Committee. Ms. Webb is a co-founder of the non-profit organization Mothers Outreach Network. In 2016, the student body of Harvard Law School selected her as the alumni Gary Bellow Public Service Award recipient.
