Michael Aaron Saretsky works in the Office of the Chief Counsel of the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E), a semi-autonomous funding agency within the U.S. Department of Energy. In this capacity, he assists ARPA-E in negotiating financial assistance transactions for advanced energy R&D projects, performs environmental review under the National Environmental Policy Act, and provides guidance on a wide array of legal and policy matters affecting the agency. Mr. Saretsky’s professional interests include legal and policy matters pertaining to the evolving intersection of energy, environment, and innovation.
Mr. Saretsky graduated with honors from GW Law. While at GW, he served as Senior Production Editor for the Journal of Energy and Environmental Law and was actively involved in the Moot Court Board and Environmental Law Association. In addition, he pursued graduate studies in International Science and Technology Policy at GW’s Elliott School of International Affairs.
