Michelle Johnson-Weider served in the United States Senate Office of the Legislative Counsel for 13 years, with primary responsibility for drafting legislative proposals relating to agriculture and nutrition. She then spent three years as a program analyst in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) certification policy at the Food and Nutrition Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture. Currently, she is an attorney-advisor in the Legislation Division, Office of the General Counsel, at the Department of Health and Human Services.
