Nancy M. Lawrence has practiced family- and employment-based immigration law since her graduation from The George Washington Law School in 1978. Ms. Lawrence advises individuals and small, medium and large corporate clients on appropriate filings and strategies for dealing with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly the Immigration and Naturalization Service), the Department of Labor, and the State Department and its embassies and consulates abroad. Ms. Lawrence’s current office is in Fairfax, Virginia, where she is of-counsel to the law firm of Odin, Feldman & Pittleman, PC. Ms. Lawrence has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1979, serving as the Chair of the AILA Washington, DC Chapter from 1987 to 1988. 

Since 1998, Ms. Lawrence has been a Spring Semester Professorial Lecturer at GW Law, where she teaches Immigration Law II (Family- and Employment-Based Practice). She has been teaching the same course since 2001 as a Fall Semester Adjunct Professor at American University’s Washington College of Law. Ms. Lawrence has been selected for inclusion in “The Best Lawyers in America” in the category of Immigration Law every year since 2008, and she was selected to the Washingtonian’s “Top 800 Lawyers in Washington” list in 2009.
