Robert W. Zelnick is a partner in the international law firm McDermott Will & Emery, LLP, where he has practiced since 1996. His practice focuses on trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and false advertising matters. 

From 2001-2010, Mr. Zelnick was head of McDermott’s Global Trademark Practice Group. Prior to joining McDermott, he was a lawyer for a national intellectual property specialty firm.

Mr. Zelnick writes and speaks frequently on intellectual property matters, and has served as a testifying expert on trademark issues. He served as an intern to the Honorable Eric G. Bruggink of the US Court of Federal Claims in Washington, DC. Among other accolades, in 2017 Mr. Zelnick was inducted into The Legal 500’s inaugural “Hall of Fame.”
