Sheerin Haubenreich graduated from The George Washington University Law School in 2008, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board, co-author of the Van Vleck writing competition, a Writing and Dean's Fellow, and Senior Production Editor of the Law Review. Subsequently, she practiced litigation in the Global Disputes group of Jones Day in Washington, D.C. for seven years. Her specialties included multinational litigation and complex commercial disputes, particularly related to Central and South America. She also maintained an active pro bono practice concentrating on children's rights, immigration law, and social security/disability access, having worked with the Children's Law Center, Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless, and Capital Area Immigrants' Rights Coalition. She has been teaching first-year law students Legal Research and Writing and Introduction to Advocacy at GW since 2011.
