Thomas C. Papson

Prior to joining the adjunct faculty in the summer of 2013, Mr. Papson was a partner at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP. His practice there focused on government contracts and other business litigation, with a particular emphasis on bid protests and contract formation issues. His practice also included conflict of interest and ethics matters, contract disputes, trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition claims, and Freedom of Information matters. Chambers USA 2013 recognized Mr. Papson as one of the nation's leading government contracts and protest lawyers. Mr. Papson is a past chair of the ABA Public Contracts Section Bid Protest Committee. Following his retirement from private practice, Mr. Papson became a Volunteer Staff Attorney with the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia. He also serves as a mediator in the mediation program administered by the D.C. Circuit Executive for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Papson was a law clerk to a United States district judge.
