Supreme Court

The SBA Supreme Court is one of the three branches of the George Washington University Law School Student Bar Association (SBA). Its judicial authority is outlined in Article III of the SBA Constitution. Comprising a Chief Judge and four Associate Judges, this court interprets and applies the SBA Constitution and Bylaws, resolves cases and controversies, reviews the constitutionality of SBA Senate actions, and provides legal guidance to the SBA Senate. The Chief Judge leads proceedings, ensuring a fair and impartial process. The SBA Supreme Court's decisions carry authority and can provide relief to parties.

GW Law students can initiate actions by completing the provided form. Once submitted, the Court will contact you with further information. Visit our public docket for access to previous opinions and guidance from the Supreme Court on filing. Before initiating any action with the Court, please examine the SBA Constitution and Bylaws, as these documents dictate the Court's jurisdiction.
