The Link Between Campaign Donations & Corruption Risk in Public Procurement

Thu, 30 August, 2018 9:00am

Join the Government Procurement Law Program as they host a panel discussion on the link between campaign donations and corruption risk in public procurement.

University of Cambridge researcher Dr. Mihaly Fazekas will present on the results of DIGIWHIST, a large-scale, EU-funded research project that collected data on over 17 million government contracts in 35 European countries and developed objective corruption proxies to support research and government accountability. This new research approach has been used to identify key correlations between campaign donations and corruption risk in federal public contracts. A moderated discussion will follow on the implications of the research and its applicability to further research and advocacy related to campaign finance and corruption.

This event will be livestreamed. Light refreshments will be served.
