"I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience on the GW Law Alumni Association Board of Directors. As a student I was very involved in the GW Law community and wanted to find a way to continue my level of engagement upon my graduation. Now, I mentor and network with students and new graduates as well as maintain and create relationships with my fellow GW Law alumni. I fully recognize how GW Law has supported and encouraged me both in law school and in my career path, so it has always been my duty and pleasure to give back. Donating my time and money helps ensure that future GW Law students are afforded with the same ever-progressing opportunities that I enjoyed as a student."

"GW Law has enabled me to achieve my personal and professional goal of helping law students secure their ideal job and young lawyers advance to the top of their careers more quickly. Through GW, I have constant chances to mentor law students, contribute to and lead career panels, and participate in various other programs which help students and recent graduates effectively navigate their career path. And, in my current role on the alumni board, GW has provided me yet another occasion to support law students and recent graduates as we work towards expanding the mentor pool to include alumni from outside the DC metro area, those who have retired, and those who have chosen alternative career paths. In appreciation for all these opportunities, I donate financially so that the law school can continue to attract and enroll high quality, well-rounded students, including those who require meaningful financial assistance, such as merit scholarships, need-based grants, and loans. I also give back knowing that these contributions help GW Law maintain its strong reputation and ranking, attract its world-class faculty, and continue its robust course offerings, programs, and clinics that help students develop practical and hands-on lawyering skills."

Following my graduation from GW Law in 2012, several members of the school’s alumni network were instrumental in helping me set my career path. This encouragement and support inspired me to do the same for students and other alumni, so in 2016, I joined the GW Law Alumni Association Board of Directors. This enriching experience has connected me with outstanding alumni and expanded my GW Law network. I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and because I have received so much from the school and its alumni network, I became a recurring donor—committing my resources and time. I sincerely hope that my efforts will help a student as much as the school—and its alumni—have helped me.

Years ago, despite initial reluctance, a classmate enlisted me onto my 25th reunion committee and soon thereafter I began regularly supporting the law school through volunteer work, annual contributions and eventually service on the GWLAA Board. Since joining the GWLAA Board I have served as Chair of the Special Programs Committee, Chair of the Barristers Society, and a member of the Executive Committee. I have assisted with legal and professional education programs and as aresource to the Communications Law Journal. It has given me an opportunity to reconnect with classmates, meet faculty and other alums, network professionally, and give back through mentoring law student. My time on the GWLAA Board and supporting GW with my contributions has been rewarding and I would highly recommend it.
