Sy Damle

Sy Damle is a partner in the Digital Copyright practice at Latham & Watkins, where he represents technology companies in copyright litigation, regulatory, and counseling matters, particularly in the software and digital streaming industries.  Before joining the private sector, he was the General Counsel of the U.S. Copyright Office.  Before that, he was a litigator at the U.S. Department of Justice and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.  Mr. Damle is an advisor to the American Law Institute’s Restatement of Copyright Law project, and an officer of the Edward Coke Appellate Inn of Court.
