Alex Bopp is a Senior Trust & Compliance Attorney at IBM. He joined IBM in May of 2023. Prior to joining IBM he served for one year as a Senior Counsel in the Ethics & Compliance Group at Splunk. Mr. Bopp was Splunk's Compliance Area Lead for Anti-Corruption, Modern Slavery Compliance, and Conflicts of Interest.

Prior to that, Mr. Bopp was at the Boeing Company (Boeing) for fifteen years. At Boeing, he was a Senior Counsel in the Litigation, Investigations & Compliance Group. Mr. Bopp served as the Co-Chair of Boeing's Investigations Strategy Team. He also managed Boeing's compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations' Mandatory Disclosure Rule (FAR MDR) and several other FAR provisions that drive internal investigation activity, including the Rule Aimed at Combating Trafficking in Persons.  And Mr. Bopp served as Boeing's liaison with government agencies to whom Boeing made disclosures, regularly reporting to and resolving inquiries from the DOJ and other agencies.

After law school, Mr. Bopp clerked for a Federal Magistrate Judge in The United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Following his clerkship he worked as a litigation associate at Indiano & Williams, P.S.C., in San Juan, where he focused on federal litigation arising from diversity or federal question jurisdiction. Mr. Bopp argued three cases before the First Circuit Court of Appeals, winning twice. Between his time in Puerto Rico (six years) and his time at Boeing, Mr. Bopp worked for one year at Schertler & Onorato in Washington, DC where he helped to establish the firm's civil litigation practice.
